    Circle 1-8
In Scottsdale, 1 in every 8 jobs is related to tourism. Additional jobs also are impacted by the industry – from real estate agents and construction workers to local farmers who supply our hotels with fresh food.
    Circle 32.5
Almost a third of all sales tax revenue (32.5%) comes from non-residents.
    Circle 27
Taxes generated by visitors help keep Scottsdale residents’ property taxes 27% lower than the rest of the Valley.
    Circle 29
Visitors also generate $27.8 million in additional tax revenue for the city.
    • This is enough money to buy 1.5 million library books, build four parks or hire 438 police officers.
    • These taxes help the city pay for Scottsdale police officers, fire fighters, water services, street maintenance, libraries, parks and other vital community services.
The Scottsdale Convention & Visitors Bureau is the sole organization responsible for marketing Scottsdale as a premier travel and meetings destination. Before a visitor or group decides on a hotel, golf course, spa or restaurant, they first must choose our destination; the bureau ensures these visitor and group dollars land in our community.
