Parada del Sol Parade

February 14, 2015

The 62nd Annual Parada del Sol Parade will be held on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 10 a.m. This parade has the distinction of being the “World’s Largest Horsedrawn Parade” and boasts more than 150 parade entries. The Parade runs north up Scottsdale Rd. from Oak to Indian School. Arrive early to see the cattle drive, which follows the parade route and starts at 9:50 a.m.

Combined with the Parade is the 2nd Annual Fun Run, which starts at 9 a.m. The run is a total of 1.3 miles and starts Scottsdale and Thomas Roads (by the bowling alley) and ends at Brown and 1st Avenues. Entry fee is $20 (adults) and $10 (ages 6-12). After January 30, 2015, the price will increase to $25 for adults and $15 for children. For any additional information, please email funrun@paradadelsol.org

Our annual Trail’s End Celebration, presented by Scottsdale Downtown, will begin immediately following the Parada del Sol Parade. The Trail’s End Celebration takes place in Old Town Scottsdale on 1st Avenue, between Brown and Scottsdale Roads. This huge block party is for all ages and features a kid’s area with games, pony rides and more. There will be many food and merchandise vendors, as well as a main stage with live entertainment. When the day is done, be sure to check out the hundreds of original shops located within walking distance!

Don’t miss out on this 62-year tradition of celebrating Scottsdale Western heritage!
