You are invited to Scottsdale Sister Cities International Dinner on April 19th at Scottsdale Community College’s Desert Oasis Dining Room. The event will host a delegation and Mayor from Alamos, Sonora. Scottsdale’s Mayor Jim Lane and city council members will be in attendance. Dr. Daniel Corr, Vice President for Academic & Student Affairs will represent Scottsdale Community College in welcoming this International Flavors Dinner Event. The Culinary Arts department will present the evening’s menu featuring flavors from out Sister Cites: Alamos, Sonora, Mexico; Cairns, Queensland, Australia; Kingston, Ontario, Canada; Interlaken, Switzerland; Haiku, Hinan, China; Marrakech, Morocco. You do not have to be a member of Scottsdale Sister Cities to attend but you will have an opportunity to join. Scottsdale Sister Cities is a 501 c.3. There will be selection of silent auction items available as this is a fundraiser to support SSCA programs. Their programs include, student and teacher exchanges, cultural exchanges, economic development opportunity exchanges, tourism visits and opportunities to promote peace and understanding among our international friendship partners.
