Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships: Horses & Horsepower

Date To Be Determined

Last November, the Scottsdale Polo Championships drew the biggest crowd in the country with some 12,442 fans enjoying the four-match showdown. This year, the show gets bigger and better with an expanded event schedule and an amped-up polo lineup. With the breathtaking backdrop of McDowell Mountains and beautiful white tents lining the field, the Polo Championships will once again be a weekend destination for both local residents and tourists, especially with some of the world’s top polo players on hand.

It all gets started on Saturday, Oct. 25, when gates open at 11 a.m. The lineup features top world-professional female polo players like Sunny Hale, Sarah Wiseman and Paola Martinez, and the top gay polo player in the world, Caroline Anier, on the Women’s World All-Star Team.  They will take on the event’s reigning champions, the Clogau Wales Polo Team, who has played with the likes Princes Charles, William and Harry. The Arizona Polo Club will also take on the Gay Polo League, the nation’s only organized gay sports league.

In addition to the world’s best polo, the event features a preview to the 2015 Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show and the 2015 Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction; a fashion show; a live art auction by Larsen Art Gallery; and a super-regional qualification event for the World Food Championships.  All for one ticket price!
