The tenth annual Tour de Scottsdale, presented by Lexus, is Sunday, October 12, 2014. The event kicks off at Market Street in DC Ranch, which is located near the southeast corner of Pima Road and Thompson Peak Parkway in Scottsdale. The event features a 70-mile and 30-mile citizen’s ride.
The event beneficiary is the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy, a nonprofit conservation organization in Scottsdale that protects and promotes the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. The Tour de Scottsdale event is capped at 2,000 cyclists so register now!
The Tour de Scottsdale is produced and hosted by the DC Ranch Community Council. DC Ranch is proud to partner with the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy in providing a charity athletic event that circumnavigates the Preserve. The 11th annual Tour de Scottsdale is presented by Lexus.
You can ride any type of bike as long as you can ride it safely in large groups. Mountain bikes, recumbents and handbikes are all acceptable types of bikes. Aero-type and other similar auxiliary handlebars are prohibited; this includes tri-bikes with otherwise unremovable aerobars. Only bikes equipped with drop bars or flat bars will be allowed to ride in the event.
