Experience the most rapids per mile out of any river in Arizona, and the earliest rafting season in the country!

Nicknamed as the "The Other Grand Canyon," the Salt River has remained a lesser known gem nestled between the Fort Apache Reservation and Tonto National Forest.

The meet location in the Upper Salt River Canyon is around 2-3 hours from Scottsdale. Situated halfway between Globe and Show Low, the drive into this wilderness area is absolutely spectacular.

Mild to Wild runs whitewater rafting trips on the Salt River lasting from a couple hours up to 4 days! The rapids range from fun and friendly class II, wet and fun class III, and during high water thrilling class IV!

The Salt River is an exciting wilderness trip for all experience levels. We provide wetsuits to keep you warm during the early season starting in March, as well as Coast Guard approved life jackets, and custom self bailing rafts. Oh yeah— and best river guides!

The combination of fun rapids, astounding scenery, and fantastic service makes rafting the Salt River an absolute must from March to May.

Mild to Wild is proud to be connecting family and friends with nature and adventure for the past 30 years. Join us on this incredible trip and make some memories you'll cherish forever!
