Year after year, “The Greatest Show on Grass” draws the largest crowds on the PGA TOUR to the TPC Scottsdale. Past champions include Kyle Stanley (2012), Mark Wilson (2011) and Hunter Mahan (2010). After a day on the course, head over the Bird’s Nest Music Festival where nationally renowned bands and a party atmosphere keep the energy flowing well into the night.
Heard Museum World Champion Hoop Dance Contest
February 9-10, 2013
Experience the fast-paced precision and grace of hoop dancing as more than 70 of the top Native dancers from the United States and Canada compete for cash prizes and the World Champion title. Each day starts with a grand entry of all the dancers, with competition heating up with every round. Enjoy fry bread and the museum’s café. Event admission includes the museum’s 10 exhibition galleries.
Parada Del Sol Parade

The 60th Annual Parada del Sol Parade marches up Scottsdale Road from Oak Street to Indian School Road, showcasing hundreds of talented horses and riders, floats and musicians. After the parade, join the Trail’s End Celebration in Old Town Scottsdale (First Ave. between Brown and Scottsdale roads). This huge block party features live music, delicious food, pony rides and games. It’s Western-style fun for the whole family!
Arizona Fine Art Expo

Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show

Since 1955, the annual Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show has set the pace in the Arabian horse world. The show has grown from 50 horses to more than 2,000, bringing top owners, trainers and breeders from around the world to compete for a chance to win. The show also offers an international food court and a shopping expo where you can find products from art, jewelry and clothing to household items and show apparel.
Celebration of Fine Art

The Celebration of Fine Art gives you the opportunity to meet 100 working artists under one roof. You’ll be able to talk with the artists about their work and what inspires them, and participate in their creative process. New works are being created all the time and range from realistic to impressionistic, Western realism to contemporary, and landscapes to still life. Don’t miss the Sculpture Garden featuring more than 100 large-scale pieces.
Spring Training Festival

Each year, the Scottsdale area hosts some of MLB’s hottest teams for Spring Training – the San Francisco Giants at Scottsdale Stadium, and the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. Kick off the season with this fun-filled event at Scottsdale Civic Center Park. Highlights include autograph signings, interactive activities, live music and the Baseball Food Fair.
