Art on the Wild Side: The Bigger Picture

The Bigger Picture, the Zoo’s fall Art on the Wild Side exhibition, shows that though separated by over 7,000 miles, Phoenix, Arizona and Ramat-Gan, Israel share a special bond. Not only are we Sister Cities but we are home to world-class zoos dedicated to our respective missions of animal and nature conservation and education. Playing a critical role in natural ecosystems, vultures are the most threatened raptors in the world and both the Phoenix Zoo and Safari Ramat Gan share the common goal of working on conservation programs to ensure their survival.

These gorgeous photographs were submitted by those in service to both Zoos –  from veterinary staff, animal keepers and conservation technicians to volunteers, program facilitators and third-party vendors.
