Few groups entered the rock arena with as much initial success both critically and commercially as Bad Company. Fewer still have been able to weather a period of rapidly shifting musical tastes and trends, much less maintain the popular base as Bad Company has. Success was swift and immediate. Signed to Led Zeppelin’s Swan Song Records Label, Bad Company were a veritable super group in the making. Some 45 years after Paul Rodgers and Mick Ralphs formed the band in 1973, boasting an impressive musical pedigree, Paul Rodgers emerging from Free, Mick Ralphs leaving Mott the Hoople, joined by bassist Boz Burrell and drummer Simon Kirke, also from Free are still active, touring, recording and charting. Bad Company has enjoyed a streak of gold and platinum records, from the debut ‘Bad Co’, through ‘Straight Shooter’, ‘Run With the Pack’, ‘Burnin’ Sky’, ‘Desolation Angels’, ‘Rough Diamonds’, ‘10 from 6’ and the ‘Original Bad Co Anthology’ LP’s/CD’s. Singles such as “Can’t Get Enough”, “Feel Like Makin’ Love”, “Rock n’ Roll Fantasy”, “Movin’ On”, “Young Blood” and “Hey Hey” have consistently placed the group at the top of the charts. In recent years the band has played an exclusive number of shows, 2019 is no exception as the band has chosen to play just 12 concerts worldwide.
