Desert Dog Police K9 Trials & Public Safety Expo hosted by Arizona Law Enforcement Canine Association (ALECA) comes to Westworld of Scottsdale, Sat. & Sun., Oct. 21 & 22, 2023! Courage beyond instinct separates a police dog from furry friends at home. Fans witness the bravery, courage, and talents of K9s and their handlers through exciting on-field obstacles replicating thrilling, real-world scenarios experienced in active duty. More than 70 teams of law enforcement and their beloved K9 police partners are up for the ultimate challenge! The event features Tactical Challenge and Handler Protection obstacles such as 7-foot barriers for jumping, call-offs, extractions, and so much more! Special trophies are presented to first, second, and third-place teams. In addition, more than 200 vendors are featured: Police, SWAT, fire vehicles, helicopter flyovers, police K9 demos, rescue equipment, Trunk or Treat to capture Halloween excitement, food, and shopping options! ALECA is the largest nonprofit public safety canine organization in the country.
