Festival Orchestra Week closes with Mendelssohn's beloved Symphony No. 4 ("Italian") and Leoncavallo's Pagliacci, one of the most iconic Italian operas of all time. Pagliacci (Clowns) is a one-act drama filled with passion, tragedy, and one of the most famous arias of all time, Vesti la giubba. The performance will feature four stars from the Metropolitan Opera, including Carl Tanner and Gordon Hawkins, along with the Arizona Musicfest Festival Chorus.
