Open Spaces: Fiber Art and Landscape
Open Spaces features fiber-based artwork that address the significance of the landscape. Natural elements, such as plants, animals, and stone, are foundational, and open spaces like national parks remind us of this while serving as a valuable resource for mental wellness. The US National Park Service was established 110 years ago, in 1916. There are more than four hundred national park units in the United States, including twenty-two in Arizona. This juried exhibition features weaving, quilting, felting, fabric manipulation, and fiber-featured mixed media.
