Watch films in style at Taliesin West. Our Friday Night Films provide a new way to enjoy the silver screen – connecting art, architecture, and nature. From old classics to new favorites, there’s something for everyone. Each evening includes a screening in a historic Taliesin West space, followed by a conversation connecting the film to Wright’s legacy.

This Friday we will present an outdoor screening of Metropolis (1927). In a futuristic city sharply divided between the working class and the city planners, the son of the city’s mastermind falls in love with a working-class prophet who predicts the coming of a savior to mediate their differences.

Join us for an outdoor screening of this historic film (watched by the Wright’s themselves!) and participate in a post-film conversation about the use of architecture in classic Hollywood films.

Tickets are $15. Members have an exclusive opportunity to purchase tickets as a season pass. Visit our Membership page to learn more about becoming a Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation Member.

Bring a blanket and dress warmly for this outdoor presentation at Taliesin West. To allow everyone to have a clear view of the film, please do not bring folding chairs. Masks are required in all public indoor spaces for the full duration of time inside. I
