About the Artist
Miki Saito is a shinobue (Japanese bamboo flute) performer and educator based in Denver, Colorado. Her music blends traditional folk melodies, energetic anime themes, and original works, highlighting the instrument’s expressive versatility.
She shares her passion through concerts, workshops, and her YouTube channel Miki Saito Shinobue Adventure, where over 2,500 subscribers enjoy performances, tutorials, and cultural content. Her instrumental relaxation music, under the name Breathe Bamboo, is also available on Spotify and other major platforms.
Miki has performed at venues including the Denver Botanic Gardens, Colorado Dragon Boat Festival, Cleveland Asian Festival, and Boulder Public Library, as well as at schools and colleges nationwide. She will be in Phoenix as an instructor at the 2025 North American Taiko Conference and is excited to bring the expressive voice of the shinobue to the Japanese Friendship Garden.
