Spring Break Camp- Gimme Shelter (3-Day Camp Experience ages 9-11)

Shelter: A Journey Through Time and Space

How did humans create shelter throughout history? How did they adapt to different environments and climates? How can we learn from their ingenuity and creativity? Join us for this exciting camp where we will explore the fascinating world of housing, from ancient times to today. You will get to see and study the amazing apprentice shelters that young architects have built in the desert for over 80 years at Taliesin West, the home and studio of Frank Lloyd Wright. You will also get to design and build your own 3D model shelter, inspired by the beauty and challenges of the Sonoran Desert. This camp will inspire you to think critically and creatively about one of the most essential human needs: shelter. Don’t miss this opportunity to discover the past, present, and future of housing!
