Scottsdale, AZ - The recently-opened Uchi Scottsdale announced today they are kicking off a Summer Dinner Series in collaboration with beloved local Valley chefs from July through September. Uchi Chef de Cuisine Blake Luecke will welcome Chef Matt Carter of The Mission on July 16 from 6:30-9:30pm for a one-of-a-kind menu that seamlessly blends the vibrant flavors of Latin and Japanese cuisine, celebrating the ingredients and tastes of the Sonoran Desert. Menu highlights include Scallop Crudo (corn leche de tigre, grilled corn relish, candied jalapeño), Wagyu Striploin (fig miso mole, grilled figs, tallow fried potato) and Mole Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich. Tickets are $175pp++ and are available for purchase here. An optional beverage pairing is also available for $75.
Later this summer, Uchi will host James Beard Award-winning Chef Christopher Gross of Christopher’s at Wrigley Mansion on August 13 for a menu collaboration that tempts with a modern twist on French fare from two James Beard awarded chefs. On September 8, Valley favorite Cat Bunnag of Glai Baan, which translates to ‘far from home’, will be joining forces with the Uchi Scottsdale team. Bunnag serves authentic Thai street food she grew up on at her central Phoenix restaurant, Glai Baan – which will inspire the menu creation at Uchi Scottsdale for the night. Uchi Scottsdale is Hai Hospitality’s seventh Uchi location, which opened in February 2023. Chef Tyson Cole created the original Uchi location in a refurbished South Austin bungalow in 2003 with the simple vision of bringing the intimacy of the sushi bar experience to every table in the restaurant.
