6 Best Scottsdale Food Festivals

Scottsdale's culinary scene is known for its vibrant regional flavors, farm-fresh ingredients and uber-talented chefs. One of the best ways to sample the city’s epicurean offerings is to explore local food festivals. Here are some tasty options you won’t want to miss!

A Taste of AZ Food & Drink Festival

One of the newest offerings on Scottsdale’s food festival calendar, A Taste of AZ Food & Drink Festival takes place in late January at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. Guests can indulge in an array of samples including tacos, burgers, beer, wine and cocktails. Participating restaurants have included Weft & Warp, The Vig and Sandfish Sushi & Whiskey. This is a 21+ event.

The flagship event of Arizona Beer Week, this festival takes over Salt River Fields for one Saturday every February. This long-running festival has been celebrating Arizona’s thriving craft beer scene for more than 20 years. Nearly 150 breweries from around the state participate in the Arizona Strong Beer Festival. Attendees can sample more than 500 beers, and a variety of local food options will be available. Note that this festival is strictly 21+, and it is not pet-friendly.

PHOENIX Magazine hosts this 21+ up festival in March, which highlights several of the Valley’s most crave-worthy dishes. The lineup features over one dozen of the hottest restaurants in town, including Weft & Warp, North Italia, Huss Brewing, Superstition Meadery, and more. Admission includes unlimited bites, so come hungry! Beer, wine, and spirit samples are available for purchase, and there will also be cooking demonstrations. Dish Fest is held at The Clayton House, where there will be a food truck court and beer garden in the indoor-outdoor venue.

For true oenophiles—wine lovers—Uncorked is the festival of the year. Celebrating its fifth year in April 2024, this festival features over 100 wines and champagnes, plus an assortment of other beverages. There will also be food trucks, a live DJ, and more, all set up in a beautiful venue at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. Admission tickets include all wine tastings, and food is available for purchase. Early-access VIP tickets include one extra hour at the event, plus exclusive wines. You can also buy bottles and other items to bring home. This festival is 21+.

Come October, the Italian Association hosts the Scottsdale Taste of Italy, the ultimate foodie festival. The two-day event held in the heart of Old Town focuses on all things Italian culture, from wine and pizza to live music and art. Attendees will enjoy wine tastings, Italian food trucks, and can shop for specialty items including handmade pizza ovens. Taste of Italy is family-friendly, and there’s plenty of free parking adjacent to Scottsdale Stadium.

AZ Barrels, Bottles & Brews

AZ Barrels, Bottles & Brews rolls into Salt River Fields at Talking Stick every November to celebrate the state’s burgeoning spirits, hard cider and craft beer scene. Tickets include a souvenir sample glass and 15 samples (5 oz beer, 2 oz wine/cocktail or 1/2 oz spirits). Designated driver tickets are nicely discounted and include a special swag bag and the chance to win Spring Training baseball tickets. Yard-style games and onsite food trucks add to the fun.
