Hotel Holiday Fun

As if the sunny days and mildly chilly nights aren’t enough reason to head to Scottsdale during the holidays, our resorts pull out all the stops to transform into winter wonderlands sure to cheer even the most Grinch-y members of the family.

Fairmont Scottsdale Princess

Celebrate the splendor of the season at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, where holiday festivities run from Nov. 26 through Dec. 31, 2019. Witness the resort transform into an enchanting winter wonderland during this year’s 10th Annual Christmas at the Princess. The fun begins with a tree lighting ceremony, in which the four-story, musically animated Christmas tree will become aglow with 70,000 LED lights that twinkle to the tune of 17-holiday songs. Other holiday highlights include the 6,000 square foot Desert Ice Holiday Rink; S’mores land, complete with the Christmas Carousel and Frosty’s Ferris Wheel; spectacular lagoon lights featuring more than 4.5 million LED lights; a Princess Express Train ride that takes you on a whimsical ride throughout the lagoons and much more!

The Phoenician

Holiday cocktails and relaxation at the spa for mom and dad? You bet! The newly redesigned, AAA Five-Diamond resort has teamed up with Emmy award-winning screenwriter and author, Karen Schaler, to create a “Christmas Camp” experience Dec. 5-9 and Dec. 12-16, 2019, to coincide with the upcoming TV movie and novel of the same name. A special room package available over these dates includes complimentary champagne and daily breakfast for two, while the accompanying nine days of activities during “Christmas Camp” include mixology demonstrations, spa treatments, Drybar Holiday Hair Magic and more.

Nothing puts the magic of the season in the hearts of little ones quite like a visit with Santa. First, Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia’s annual lighting of their 20-foot Christmas tree takes place on Dec. 3, 2019, and includes holiday cuisine, kids’ activities and most importantly, photos with Santa. Then, the resort invites families to savor delicious breakfast favorites and snap photos with the man of the hour at Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 14 and Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019. Bonus: Free entry for all for the Tree Lighting and children 5 years old and younger are free for Breakfast with Santa!

Over at Hyatt Regency Scottsdale, warm up with complimentary hot cocoa, cookies, candy canes and Santa! You’ll enjoy a photo op with Santa and Mrs. Claus while being serenaded by the resort’s signature “serenading” gondoliers. You can see Santa this year on Dec. 21 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Dec. 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Christmas Day from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The gondoliers also will perform on Fridays and Saturdays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Christmas Eve from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Christmas Day from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
