Phoenix Zoo – Arizona Center for Nature Conservation

Enter the Phoenix Zoo and explore a wondrous world of curiosity, imagination and discovery. Featuring over 1,400 animals, including Bornean orangutans, Asian elephants, Sumatran tigers, Komodo dragons, Andean bears and many more — the Zoo is like no other place in the Valley!

With outdoor cafés, shops, lush gardens, water landscapes and exciting up-close animal encounters like Stingray Bay, Giraffe Encounter, 4-D Theater and Monkey Village, along with the Safari Train, Endangered Species Carousel and 125 acres of natural habitats within beautiful Papago Park, your visit will be memorable for the entire family.

The Zoo also offers a variety of unique, hands-on camps and programs to enhance your conservation awareness and understanding of the natural world. Experiences include programs for kids, teens, adults, families, those with special needs, as well as programs for schools and teachers.

And if that isn’t enough, the Zoo is a great place for fun seasonal events. Enjoy food and entertainment at Party Safari, revel in rich Hispanic culture at Día del Niño, have a hauntingly good time at Boo! at the Zoo and journey through a labyrinth of colorful lights during ZooLights — just to name a few. There’s always something going on at the Zoo!

For over half a century, the Zoo has been welcoming people from across the world, providing experiences that inspire and motivate them to care for the natural world. The non-profit Zoo relies solely on admissions, memberships, donations and sponsorships to continue conservation initiatives, educational programs and the care of our animals.
