FIVE REASONS TO FALL FOR GOLF IN SCOTTSDALE THIS SEASON

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (Sept. 28, 2021) – Fall’s shorter days and cooler weather mean the end of golf season across most of North America. In Scottsdale, things are just getting started. Read on for five reasons why Scottsdale, “The World’s Finest Golf Destination" is a must-visit this autumn.

  1. It’s Always Sunny in Scottsdale

The area isn’t called the “Valley of the Sun” for nothing. Scottsdale has roughly 330 days of sunshine each year and in the fall, the average high is 75 degrees. Those temperatures, combined with top-ranked courses make for the perfect day for a round, or two. Troon North Golf Club, We-Ko-Pa Golf Club, and Grayhawk Golf Club are can’t-miss courses in Scottsdale. Or, experience one-of-a-kind hidden gems such as TPC Scottsdale Champions Course, Camelback Golf Club’s Ambiente Course, and The Short Coursat Mountain Shadows.

  1. Play Like a Champion

One of the coolest things to do this fall in Scottsdale is tee off at the Stadium Course at TPC Scottsdale, as preparations are underway for the PGA TOUR’s 2022 Waste Management Phoenix Open. Walking through the tunnel to the tee on the infamous 16th Hole, while surrounded by the stadium, is like nothing else in golf. And, one of the best ways to do this is by booking the Golf Getaway Package at the neighboring Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Just don’t miss the green on the 16th Hole.

  1. Beat the Rush

The high season in Scottsdale kicks off each year with the world-famous Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction in January. From there, it’s full speed ahead with the Waste Management Phoenix Open in February, Cactus League Spring Training in March and a variety of other world-class events that run right through April. It’s a blast, but fall is the time to beat the crowd. The weather is perfect, the courses are lush and it’s a lot easier to get prime tee times and reservations at a reasonable price.

  1. Experience the Great Outdoors

The Sonoran Desert is fantastic any time of year, but it’s especially spectacular in fall. While there is plenty of natural beauty on Scottsdale’s golf courses, exploring its otherworldly charm a bit farther afield is a must. Scottsdale is ringed by mountain preserves, including the incredible 35,500-acre McDowell Sonoran Preserve. Choices for enjoying the desert are almost unlimited, from hiking and mountain biking to horseback rides, jeep tours, kayaking adventures, and even hot air balloon excursions. Scottsdale’s exceptional mountainside golf resorts, such as The Boulders Resort & Spa, The Phoenician, Four Seasons Scottsdale at Troon North or Mountain Shadows Resort Scottsdale will put visitors in the middle of all the fun.

  1. See What’s New & Improved, First

“The Season” officially begins in January, but Scottsdale’s resorts and golf courses unveil enhancements early, allowing visitors to get a sneak peek at what’s new. For fall 2021, check out the new looks at Eagle Mountain Golf Club, Rancho Manana Golf Club, and We-Ko-Pa Golf Club which is celebrating its 20th anniversary in December.
