What’s New in Scottsdale, Ariz. – Fall ‘21

Fall in Love with Scottsdale’s New Art + Attractions, Luxe Resort Amenities and Places to Sip + Savor

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (August 20, 2021) – As Autumn breezes into the Sonoran Desert, Scottsdale comes alive. Resorts and hotels introduce invigorating programs, spas offer fresh ways to relax, and though the weather cools off, the dining scene turns up the heat. Not to mention, there’s awe-inspiring art installations and exhibits from across the state, country and around the world, all converging in Scottsdale. We’ve rounded up fall’s must-see attractions and all the latest happenings.

STAY(IN’ BUSY)

Sometimes, memorable vacations happen without ever leaving the hotel and here in Scottsdale, the on-property opportunities to remain active and learn a new skill – or maybe even enjoy some special perks – are endless this season.

FOUR PLACES TO STAY + PLAY:

  • Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Bungalows is keeping guests entertained this fall with new on-property activities, including a dog-friendly beer garden every Friday and nightly live music in October, plus special festivities like holiday brunches in November and December, and a holiday market featuring pieces for sale by local artisans.
  • During a stay at Mountain Shadows Resort Scottsdale, guests can dive into a good book, flow into lawn yoga, and view incredible art. Debuting Sept. 6, the resort’s new Library Coffee Cart will offer design-centric books and exclusive specialty coffee pairings. Guests will also find Free Flow Yoga Nights on Monday evenings and new art on display at The Gallery. “Erika Lynne Hanson: Future Ecologies” focuses on concerns of ecology, climate and human nature through woven tapestries, crafted objects, and video installations.
  • In the quiet foothills of Scottsdale, romance-seekers can bask in the ambiance of Boulders Scottsdale Resort & Spa with private casitas and indulgent starlit dinners for two. The linksman can take advantage of fall weather with the Fall Golf Academy Programs and “Birdies, Birds & Beyond.” For foodies, the Bourbon + Cigar Dinners at Palo Verde Restaurant and Herradura Tequila Dinners at the Spotted Donkey are not to be missed.
  • Some travel experts say that celebratory travel is the hot new trend, and Scottsdale has a few milestones of its own to celebrate this year. 2021 marks the city’s 70th birthday and to celebrate, The Saguaro Scottsdale is offering rates as low as $70. Just blocks away, Hotel Valley Ho is celebrating its 65th anniversary and in nearby Paradise Valley, JW Marriott Camelback Inn Resort & Spa is celebrating its 85th, both with special offerings for guests.
TIME TO UNWIND

THE BIG NEWS: On July 14, the AAA Five Diamond Fairmont Scottsdale Princess debuted Arizona’s first Sisley-Paris Spa – a “spa within a spa” – which features a private, six-room treatment facility inside its Well & Being Spa. The international luxury beauty brand is the benchmark in phyto-cosmetology, sourcing the best natural plant extracts to obtain the most effective skincare results. As the first of its kind for Sisley Spa, this concept draws inspiration from the surrounding Sonoran Desert and delivers innovative treatments with ingredients sourced from plant leaves, seeds, flowers and more.

THREE MORE PLACES FOR R&R:

  • This fall, CIVANA has reimagined its signature wellness programs to take greater advantage of nature’s capacity for self-healing; from morning meditation, twice daily desert hikes and outdoor sunset spin classes, to sound bowl and star-gazing sessions on the yoga lawn, CIVANA is the ultimate spot to find peace.
  • With travelers focused on self-care now more than ever, Castle Hot Springs continues to bring world-class wellness to its guests, launching a new Intentional Wellness Menu. This program provides customized services aimed at balancing the mind, body and soul through yoga, mindfulness classes, soaking in the property’s geo-thermal waters, and more.
  • A new, modern facility, Quasar Quantum Healing Center offers healing methods designed to transform at a cellular level. The center uses cutting-edge, non-invasive, therapeutic methods coupled with yoga, meditation, grounding, and nutritional guidance to target underlying issues, promote healing and healthy behaviors, and create lasting change.
