Tails on the Trails! A Dog’s Day Out at the Phoenix Zoo

Who is letting the dogs out? The Phoenix Zoo is! In celebration of today being National Dog Day, the Phoenix Zoo is announcing Tails on the Trails, a brand-new event that will give Valley dogs their very own day at the Zoo. For the first time ever, the Zoo will open designated trails to four-legged guests for a one-day celebration featuring activities, demonstrations, vendors, photo opportunities and plenty of tail-wagging fun. Designed for dogs and their humans, the event will transform portions of the Zoo into a dog-friendly experience while maintaining designated areas and strict safety guidelines to protect the Zoo's resident animals, participating dogs and all guests.

TAIL-WAGGING HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE:
  • Dog Parade — Dogs can strut their stuff and compete for awards.
  • Paws & Play Zone — Dogs can enjoy enrichment toys and interactive play areas created just for them.
  • Cool Canine Club — Doggy pools, shade, water and seating provide a place for pups and their humans to cool off.
  • Poses with Paws — Photo opportunities throughout the event give families a chance to capture the perfect picture with their four-legged friends.
  • More tail-wagging fun — Additional activities and experiences will be announced as the event approaches.
