Picture an ancient citadel in the high desert of Scottsdale AZ, you and your guests arrive and enter this exotic setting. Not only a citadel in the desert but a premier breeding and training facility for some of the finest horses in the country.
The facility is a unique venue to host your event. Magnificent lush courtyards to backdrop an elegant dinner. From the owners office, imported from Morocco, a breathtaking “throne room”, to the equine swimming pool. The entire facility is yours for the evening, also included as a part of the spectacular event is a presentation of some of the many national champion horses that call LC home.
Cocktails and appetizers to start the event, each guest begins with a chance to “experience” the magnificent architecture of LC. Some of the features include the extra wide aisle ways, the raised domed ceilings, and the hand carved cedar doors hung in the true ancient fortress fashion.
Events from the smallest (10-20) to quite large (500-1000) have plenty of opportunity to interact with the horses and watch as some of them are being prepared for presentation. This presentation is one of the reasons that LC is truly a memorable experience. Before seating for dinner the guests are invited to the main courtyard to observe and learn about the versatile Champion horses in an educational yet humorous look at these National caliber animals. The horses are brought out individually in an up close and personal format in full show attire. Each horse and rider performs while the audience hears about the origins of each different style of riding and showing. This can encompass Reining, (for the exciting flag presentation), English and western pleasure, Hunters Jumpers and Dressage.
The finale for the performance is the Native Arabian Costume presentation! Audience interaction during the program is encouraged for a truly entertaining “horse show”. Dinner follows afterwards in one of the courtyards, or in the enclosed stallion barn, using one of the many fine caterers available in Arizona to the theme of your event. Further opportunities to peruse the grounds, or even visit the breeding area for a discussion of equine reproduction.
Each guest goes away not only awed by the exotic surroundings but with a new understanding and appreciation of these incredible horses!!
