Phoenix Zoo - Arizona Center for Nature Conservation

455 N. Galvin Pkwy. Phoenix, AZ 85008

Since 1962, the Phoenix Zoo has inspired and motivated guests from across the world to care for the natural world. Nestled on 125 acres within beautiful Papago Park the Zoo is a wondrous place of curiosity, imagination and discovery. Featuring over 3,000 animals, including Bornean orangutans, Asian elephants, Sumatran tigers, Komodo dragons, Masai giraffes and many more — it is like no other place in the Valley!

With outdoor cafés, shops, lush gardens, water landscapes and exciting up-close animal encounters like Stingray Bay, Giraffe Encounter and Monkey Village, your visit will be memorable for the entire family. Other not to be missed activities include the Safari Cruiser, 4-D Theater and Endangered Species Carousel.

The Zoo also offers a variety of unique, hands-on camps and programs to enhance your conservation awareness and understanding of the natural world. Programs are extensive and are provided for kids, teens, adults, families, those with special needs, as well as schools and teachers.

And if that isn’t enough, the Zoo is a great place for fun seasonal events. Kids can frolic in the snow at Winter in July and Noon Year’s Eve, adults can indulge in tasty beers and food at our Roars & Pours happy hour series. And no holiday season is complete without a visit to ZooLights!

As a non-profit, the Zoo relies solely on admissions, memberships, donations and sponsorships to continue conservation initiatives, educational programs and the care of our animals. So join us today and help support this unforgettable Valley gem!
