Event: “The Influence of Native Spirit”
Opening Reception: March 2nd, 7:00-9:00 PM
Closing: April 1st, 2017
Many artists are influenced by all things Native. Some artists, like Lance Green and Thomas Ross, depict Native Americans as stylized portraiture, or involved as action figures. Jim Nelson chooses to present the Lakota Sioux tribe through careful and thoughtful study and depiction of their attributes. Still others, like Jack Roberts, use the spiritual influence to produce stunning abstract paintings.
“Influence of the Native Spirit” also includes artists who depict bison, wild horses, and petroglyphs that were important to American Native peoples.
