From Saturday, January 24 through Sunday, February 1, 2026, the vibrant heart of Old Town Scottsdale transforms into a lively celebration of the American West with the arrival of Scottsdale Western Week.
Horse-drawn carriages clatter along the street, with the jingle of spurs and cracks of a whip filling the air during this weeklong celebration of Western fun. Here, cowgirl boots mingle with resort sandals as everyone in town gets in on the fun.
What to Expect & Where to Be
The festivities sweep through Old Town along Scottsdale Road, Drinkwater Boulevard, Brown Avenue and Indian School Road.
The Parada del Sol Historic Parade, taking place on Saturday, January 31, begins at 9:30 a.m. and concludes around noon, followed by the sprawling Trail’s End Festival from noon to 5 p.m. in the Old Town district. Since 1953, the parade (no attracting more than 35,000 people) showcases floats, bands, horses and roaming entertainment. The Trail’s End Festival wraps the day with a giant block party including concerts, food vendors, a KIDZ zone and more fun for the whole family.
Alongside, look for cultural highlights like the Arizona Indian Festival on Saturday and Sunday, January 31 and February 1, honoring Native American heritage with artistry, storytelling, and traditional performance. You can find the festival in Civic Center Park, just east of Historic Old Town.
