Scottsdale's Poolside Cabanas

It’s no exaggeration to say that vacationing in Scottsdale is synonymous with lounging by a sparkling pool. And what’s better than relaxing poolside than relaxing poolside in your very own cabana?

Good thing Scottsdale’s hotels and resorts offer cabana rentals perfect for any experience — from family-friendly to adults only — that feature all the luxe perks you can imagine. Here are six to explore.

FAIRMONT SCOTTSDALE PRINCESS

Princess Sunset Beach Cabana

Best Cabanas for Families
It’s easy to keep the kiddos — and adults — happy at the Fairmont thanks to six pools, each with its own unique atmosphere. Take Sonoran Splash. Two water slides spiral into clear-blue waters while a sloped pool entrance makes playtime safe for the littlest ones in your group. Or my favorite, Sunset Beach. Pool-goers of all ages can’t resist its 9,000 square feet of soft white sand. Cabana rentals, which offer flat-screen televisions, fresh fruit plates, cold waters and private misters, are available at both Sonoran Splash and Sunset Beach.

JW MARRIOTT SCOTTSDALE CAMELBACK INN

Summerrates

Best Cabanas for a VIP Experience
The lush landscape and tucked-away locale of the JW make it feel like it’s a world away from the city. That’s just the beginning of the VIP offerings. Book one of the shaded cabanas that encircle the heated Jackrabbit Pool for a day of pampering you’ll never forget. The cabanas bask in views of Camelback Mountain and include fruit platters, soft drinks, bottled water, sunscreen and a personal server and dedicated pool concierge. For the true luxe experience, I like to splurge on the Moet & Chandon add-on, which brings you a bottle of Moet & Chandon Ice Imperial and a jumbo shrimp cocktail, or the Cabana Culture Package with chilled Veuve Clicquot and a charcuterie board.

FOUR SEASONS RESORT SCOTTSDALE AT TROON NORTH

Four Seasons

Best Cabanas for a Couple's Retreat
If uninterrupted quality time with your significant other is what you seek, I say look no further than the poolside cabana rentals at the Four Seasons. When you book a Luxury Cabana, you’ll want for nothing: a welcome fruit plate, unlimited chips and salsa and a sun kit with sunscreen, facial mist and cooling aloe vera. The cabana itself is equipped with a flat-screen television, a private bar with sodas, iced tea, still and sparkling water, and a server to deliver amenities such as magazines and chilled towels.

The Scott Resort & Spa

The Scott Resort

Best Cabanas for a Girls’ Getaway
Though both of the pools at the Caribbean-inspired Scott Resort provide the ideal backdrop for an afternoon with your best girls, I recommend the tropical, torch-lit main pool. Not only does it play host to the Canal Club Poolside, the resort’s buzzy outdoor bar, but the pool’s private cabanas come decked out with daybeds, comfy chairs, snack baskets, a refreshing selection of non-alcoholic beverages and a suncare kit. Elevate the experience with an ice-cold bucket of two bottles of Chandon.

Hotel Valley Ho

Group of friends enjoying summer in Scottsdale

Best Cabanas for a Party Vibe
When you’re ready to mix and mingle, reserve a cabana under the palm trees at the Hotel Valley Ho. The pool anchors the center of this mid-century hotel so it’s ideal for the see- and be-seen set. Private shaded cabanas include sofas, misters and stocked mini fridges as well as enhancements such as chips and salsa, a bottle of rosé, a bucket of High Noon hard seltzers or a bottle of Tito’s with mixers. To really keep the party going, book the Premium Cabana situated next to the action at the pool bar.

Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch

Hyatt Scottsdale

Best Cabanas for Fun for Everyone
Coming off a new refresh of its pool complex, the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale is more than capable of entertaining everyone no matter what they’re looking for. At both the resort’s Family Pool and Adult Pool, private cabanas feature a complimentary bottle of sparkling rosé, a fruit platter, chips and salsa, bottled waters, flat-screen televisions, cooling fans, mini-fridges and a storage safe for valuables. I’m a fan of the add-on perks like the Sweet Tooth Package (prosecco and two desserts) or the Daiquiri Package (two share plates, a bucket of beer, beach balls and a tube ride).

And if you're lounging poolside at a Scottsdale vacation rental, The Cocktail Crew provides mobile bartending services with a team of hand-picked men and women who have been selected for their top-notch bartending skills, outgoing personalities and ability to make your poolside experience special.
