Internationally known as a mecca for art collectors, Scottsdale is home to more than 100 galleries, dedicated to exhibiting the finest visual art from around the world as well as outstanding local Arizona art. Scottsdale's ArtWalk began in 1975 and is celebrated throughout the Old Town Scottsdale Art District. It allows individuals to stroll at their own pace, and wander into galleries through a festive area enjoying dramatic statues, bubbling fountains, tree-covered courtyards, famed restaurants, and live music.
