(SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.) – Scottsdale and Phoenix have a leading role in the history of art, culture and luxury in the Southwest, but the cities have yet to host a major art event worthy of a national art collecting audience…until now. The inaugural Scottsdale Ferrari Art Week is set for Thursday, March 20th through Sunday, March 23rd, 2025 at WestWorld of Scottsdale. Tickets are now on sale for the citywide celebration uniting nearly 100 leading art galleries from across the nation and around the globe.
Serving as Development Director for Scottsdale Ferrari Art Week is Artvest Founder and TEFAF New York Art Fair Co-Founder and former Director, Michael Plummer, a longtime industry veteran and the former COO of Christie’s Financial Services.
Plummer, along with former Armory Show Director, Benjamin Genocchio, Rose Creative Founder, Joshua Rose, former Sales and Marketing Director of American Art Collector, Amy Gause, and Art Advisor Logan Browning, will oversee the event highlighting Scottsdale, Phoenix and the Southwest region’s rich art history and heritage, introducing gallerists, collectors and enthusiasts to the area’s artistic talent through exhibitions of art and design, fashion and cultural programming, including educational guidance for first-time art buyers.
“There’s a reason the desert Southwest has attracted and inspired the likes of Georgia O’Keeffe, Max Ernst and Frank Lloyd Wright as well as Contemporary Land Artists James Turrell and Walter de Maria, and continues to inspire the new talent of today such as Contemporary Indigenous artists,” said Plummer. “This, coupled with the fact that the city has a huge concentration of younger wealth looking to learn more about art collecting, as well as one of the nation’s under-appreciated communities of collectors, makes it the ideal setting for such a special event.”
While Scottsdale Ferrari Art Week’s main fair will take place in the expansive, 117,000 square-foot North Hall at WestWorld of Scottsdale, the four-day celebration will also include a series on-site cultural events, as well as off-site events at the Phoenix Art Museum, the Heard Museum, the Desert Botanical Garden, the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West, among other iconic venues.
In addition to viewing and purchasing art from historical, contemporary, Indigenous and other artists, visitors who travel to Scottsdale this March will also get to see the city at its finest. Scottsdale Ferrari Art Week coincides with Major League Baseball’s Cactus League Spring Training, giving guests a chance to check out some of the nation’s top teams in action ahead of baseball’s Opening Day.
Springtime in Scottsdale also means sunny skies, mild temperatures and a jam-packed events calendar, attracting luxury travelers and cultural enthusiasts from around the country and the broader Southwest, who come for the city’s high-end resorts and restaurants, championship golf courses and ample dining and shopping experiences.
“Scottsdale has long attracted visitors who enjoy a luxury lifestyle, and a lot of the people who live, work and play here also have an appreciation for the finer things in life,” said Joshua Rose. “This event is a great fit for this community, and it’s a great way to introduce – or reintroduce – the world’s top artists, gallerists and collectors to everything this area and its artists have to offer.”
Scottsdale Ferrari Art Week officially kicks off Thursday, March 20th, with an exclusive VIP First View hours in the afternoon, and a Gala evening event from 5 to 8 PM that evening, giving guests their first glimpse of attending galleries in an intimate, invitation-only setting.
