The next time you’re craving something sweet, stop by one of these Scottsdale staples for a sugary scoop, slice or shake!
Sugar Bowl

Step back in time at this bubble gum-pink restaurant and ice cream parlor that serves up retro inspired sundaes, malts and shakes in addition to American comfort-food favorites like burgers and club sammies in the heart of Old Town. The Sugar Bowl also dishes out plenty of nostalgia with its main dining room that hasn’t changed much since opening day in 1958 – think pink vinyl booths, a classic 1950s soda fountain, and a black, white and pink checkered floor. Go classic with a scoop or two of your favorite ice cream or opt for a super-fancy sundae like the Buster Brownie or malty Dusty Road. Don’t miss the “Family Circus” cartoons by the late Bil Keane that adorn the walls – the Sugar Bowl was a favorite stop of Keane’s and often was the setting for his cartoons.
Sweet Dee’s Bakeshop

This charming Old Town bakeshop presents a rotating selection of creative and seasonal desserts and pastries. Spearheaded by a mother/daughter duo, Sweet Dee’s has been voted “Best Bakery” by Phoenix Magazine and featured in numerous highly acclaimed publications for its exquisite and innovative treats, including extensive gluten-free options and customizable orders. The fun never stops with regular unveilings of themed confections celebrating pop culture, holidays, sports, major events, music, and more! You can also treat yourself or someone special with the viral coffee and floral tray, topped with something sweet of course.
