Best Takeout Spots in Scottsdale for Tuckered Travelers

Whether you’ve spent the day shopping, sightseeing or hiking, sometimes you just want to kick back in your hotel room and settle in for a night of Netflix and takeout food. To that end, we’ve rounded up eight Scottsdale restaurants where you can pick up meals or have them sent to your room through a delivery service. Bon appétit.

Andreoli Italian Grocer

If you’re craving Italian food, this north Scottsdale eatery offers a treasure trove of fabulous choices: antipasto plates loaded with Italian meats and cheeses; a variety of hot and cold sandwiches (the peppery porchetta sandwich is a showstopper); pastas, including gnocchi in veal sauce and orecchiette with broccoli and sausage; and a rotating list of daily specials. Don’t miss Andreoli’s house-made cannoli with ricotta cream and chocolate chips. Nectar of the gods.

Barrio Queen

One of Scottsdale’s most popular restaurants, Barrio Queen serves up Mexican takeout for a crowd or a cozy meal for two. The Old Town eatery offers a Mexican Dinner Package with enchiladas, tamales and guacamole and Taco Packages that serve up to eight. The a la carte menu beckons with everything from pomegranate seed-studded guacamole to carne asada burritos to mole-blanketed chicken enchiladas. For a special treat, dig into an order of churros with Mexican chocolate sauce.

Birdcall

Chicken lovers will cluck over Birdcall’s all-natural, crispy chicken sandwiches, whether smothered in Nashville hot sauce and topped sweet butter pickles or slathered with pimento cheese and stacked with Southern-style slaw. For a leaner meal, sub grilled chicken for crispy or swap out the bun for a lettuce wrap. Birdcall also features hearty salads, chicken tenders, gluten-free nuggets, French fries and tater tots. Top off your meal with a creamy chocolate milkshake for the win at this tempting Scottsdale takeout spot.

Craft 64

For made-from-scratch, wood-fired pizzas, Craft 64 tops Old Town Scottsdale’s list for takeout artisanal pies. This charming pizzeria offers 12 pizzas, from the simple Margherita adorned with house-made mozzarella and basil to the more complex Honey Bee layered with pepperoni, jalapenos and local mesquite honey. Along for the ride – five salads with seasonal, locally-sourced produce, a chef’s board heaped with Italian meats and cheeses, and a small selection of wood-fired dishes. End on a sweet note with tiramisu.

Daily Dose Old Town Bar & Grill

Dreaming of breakfast in bed? Check out Old Town Scottsdale’s Daily Dose takeout menu for some unique breakfast and brunch offerings. Try the dreamy buttermilk-laced cinnamon roll pancakes topped with vanilla icing or snag a crab cake omelet with spinach and melted cheddar and Jack cheeses. The kitchen also whips up a stellar selection of eggs benedict and a few Southwestern-inspired dishes, including breakfast nachos and tostadas, as well as a full lunch menu.

The Herb Box

Known for its locally sourced and seasonally driven fare, The Herb Box has you covered for takeout meals. Standout lunch and dinner items include Korean Fried Cauliflower; Market Sunflower Salad; Butternut Squash and Corn Enchiladas; and Wine Braised Boneless Short Ribs. For brunch, snuggle up to Breakfast Tacos or Smoked Salmon Hash while lounging in your bathrobe or take it poolside. The Herb Box offers gluten-free and vegan choices aplenty at its two Scottsdale locations.

JoJo’s Shakebar

After a full day of exploring Scottsdale, stop by JoJo’s Shakebar at The Scottsdale Quarter for a quick meal pick up. Best bets are the Reuben sandwich (they also make a turkey version), beer-battered fish and chips, JoJo’s chopped salad and the smash burger on a brioche bun. JoJo’s has a kids’ menu with pint-sized favorites, including grilled cheese sandwiches, hot dogs and chicken strips. Create your own milkshake from a variety of ice cream choices and mix-ins.

Original Chop Shop

Designed with healthy eating in mind, Original Chop’s menu offers chopped salads, grilled protein bowls, sandwiches and wraps, super fruit bowls and parfaits along with a handful of breakfast items. If you’re looking for a quick pick-me-up, opt for fresh juice (cleanse and detox blends available) or sip on a nourishing protein shake. Chop Shop has an abundance of dietary choices available: gluten-free, dairy-free, lactose-free, soy-free as well as vegetarian and vegan options. This Scottsdale restaurant has two locations, so you can grab takeout from whichever is most convenient.
